2014 Volunteer of the Year - Kassie Hieb
My experience started in 2001, when I started working at Allegra in downtown Brookings. We produce the print and marketing pieces for BCT. It wasn’t until recently that I started helping out with ushering, box office and the bake sale held during intermission. Angie Roden asked me to help and I’ve been at every show since.
I really love being able to interact with the patrons and actors and it gives me a chance to get out of the house for a few hours! I look forward to each new season and this one looks awesome! I moved to Brookings in 1996 when I was a freshman at SDSU. I married Rick Hieb, a Brookings native, a few years later and have never left. We have three children: Carter, Brooklyn and Alexis. Brooklyn is usually right there helping me in the box office and the bake sale. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this wonderful organization and a big thanks for giving me this honor! |
